We were invited to transform this beautiful Georgian property in Barnes. The brief was both simple and ambitiuos. Retain the traditional soul of the house, but make it work for the modern family life
A concrete chimney anchors the extension and creates a cozy snug area with tranquil bay seating areas that overlook the landscaped garden.
Drawing light into the extension through the large roof lights combined with the full height sliding doors creates a calm open space.

Internally natural materials were chosen to create a delicate calming palette of materials that complimented the existing original features.
